This bathhouse was a capital improvement project for United Methodist Camp Don-Lee (now Don Lee Camp and Retreat Center).  Don-Lee is situated along the Neuse River in Arapahoe, NC.  The hot, humid, summers demanded a well-ventilated building.  Ample daylight provides an outdoor/open-air feeling in the space, reminiscent of Don-Lee’s open-to-the-sky showers in use prior to this bathhouse.
